The PAI Group has completed an innovative IT, AV and lighting installation at the iconic Royal Horseguards Hotel, London.
Employed by main contractor Beck Interiors for the end client Guoman Hotels, PAI was invited to supply solution-led products that matched the opulence and aesthetic of the five-star building.
The specialist team designed and specified its unique room occupancy and numbering system, the i-sign, throughout the hotel. Integrated to each of the 280 luxurious bedrooms, the elegantly illuminated product was engraved with the room number, ‘Make up room/Do not disturb’ legends and a classic bell push, enabling guests to select their desired action via the user-selectable panel.
Additionally, custom lighting control designed around an Anytronics Anylight platform was created. The three four-button touch panels, which were installed to each room, link to guests’ electronic key card allowing different lighting scenes to be selected to suit the mood of the occupant.
A recessed iPod/MP3 driven audio system that connects to the in-room LCD screens was also incorporated, along with a customised utility bus consisting of two (EU and US/Japanese) 13 amp sockets and VGA input.
